Topological Valley Photonics: Physics and Device Applications

چکیده

Topological photonics has emerged as a promising field in that is able to shape the science and technology of light. As significant degree freedom, valley introduced design construct photonic topological phases, with encouraging recent progress applications ranging from on-chip communications terahertz lasers. Herein, development reviewed, both perspectives fundamental physics practical applications. The unique valley-contrasting determines bulk topology bulk-boundary correspondence phases exhibit different properties other phases. Valley conservation allows not only robust propagation light through sharp corners, but also 100% out-coupling states surrounding environment. Finally, transport requires no magnetic materials or complex construction pseudospin and, thus, can be integrated on compact platforms for future technologies.
